The Itinerary

6-Day

Day 1: Phnom Penh Tour

We start our tour and visit some of Phnom Penh’s important sights, landmarks and attractions. The National Museum gives you the first insight in to Khmer culture as it has one of the largest collection of Khmer artefacts in the country. What Phnom is the unique hillock in the city, is crowned by at active Buddhist Wat and marks the legendary founding place of Phnom Penh, visit the city and take a river cruise along the riverfront to watch the sunset.

Day 2: Phnom Penh Tour

Visit Royal Palace, Silver Pagoda, it is the official residence of the King Cambodia and it’s where you can see some very beautiful wall paintings, Central Market, built during the French colonial rule, Toul Sleng genocide museum, calls S-21 prison of the Khmer Rouge regime, Choeung Ek Memorial calls, Giant Killing Field which is a biggest killing field in Cambodia during the time of Khmer Rouge 1975-1979.

Day 3: Phnom Penh to Siem Reap

Around 5-hour journey toward to Siem Reap, stop in Skun, local people call Spider Village where you can taste the fresh deep-fried spiders and local fruits. Visit biggest ancient bridge Spean Kampong Kdie and head to Kampong Kleang, the largest fresh water lake in Southeast Asia names Tonle Sap Lake, visit stilted houses and flooded/floating village.

Day 4: Siem Reap Tour

Visit Roluos Group, three temples built before the capital moved to Angkor, Lolei built by Yashovarman I in 889 in memory of his father and his royal ancestors, Preah Ko the temple of “Sacred Bull” built in the late 9th century 880, Bakong is the official temple mountain of the city of Hariharalaya built by the same king as Preah Ko, Indravarman I in the year 881. Afternoon visit the famous world’s largest religious monument Angkor Wat.

Day 5: Siem Reap Tour

Morning we start a bit early to avoid the crowd of the tourists to visit a famous jungle temple, Ta Prohm (the temple in Tomb Raider film) one of the major temples of Jayavarnman VII. Countinue to visit temple Banteay Kdei and Sras Srang. Continue to visit the unique red sandstone temple called Banteay Srei also known as lady temple, the best and detail carving built in 2nd half of 10th century, heading to Kbal Spean, trek uphill to see the sculptures carved in the river-bed including hundreds of lingas and tiny waterfall.

Day 6: Siem Reap Tour

Visit Angkor Thom, the old capital and was the last and most enduring capital city of Khmer empire, enter through The Gate of Victory and keep going to the Bayon, then to the Terraces of the Elephants, Royal Palace Group. Go to Preah Khan, built in the 12th century for King Jayavarman VII to honour his father, Neak Pean. Visit Angkor Silk-farm is one of the best-known projects in Siem Reap. It was developed with the aim to revive ancient Cambodian Arts & Crafts while improving the lives of thousands of people living in rural areas. In the evening, you will get a transfer to Siem Reap International Airport for your departure flight.
