The Itinerary

I will pick you up from your hotel at 7:00 AM and drive about 180 km to Battambang and on the way we visit stone carving village at Preah Neth Preah then we continue to many interesting spots, villages monasteries and especially rice paddy-filed. We say Battambang is a unique Cambodian rice storeroom because there are very high number of farmers plant rice. During hands harvest season then it should be one of the best things to visit, when we arrive we visit the French colonial building in the city and Traditional Khmer house is on stilts. The family lives there will guide you all parts of the house, you will get a new knowledge why Cambodian build houses higher on stilts. Afternoon you can get an experience with Bamboo Train. Local people call Norrie, it made its first appearance in the early 1980s inspired by the small rail vehicles used by the railway workers to carryout repairs. At the time having just emerged from the years of Khmer Rouge lunacy, Cambodians were struggling to rebuild their lives and the country was re-establishing its existence. We then continue to visit Phnom Sampov monastery, the temples and hilltop views and later you will have the big open eyes to watch greatest spectacular 7 million bats fly out of the cave. Wrinkle-lipped bats fly up to 50km from their roosts each night to hunt insects. Bats eat 50-100% of its own weight every night before they return home. We return Siem Reap by three-hour driving.
